Electric shock (low voltage)

What measures should you take?

• Pay attention to your own safety!
• Do not touch the child while they are still in contact with the power source
• Turn off the power source
• Move the child to a safe environment (if the power cannot be turned off, pull the child away using a dry, non-conductive object)
• If the child does not respond after the electric shock, call emergency services 112 immediately
• Clear the airway and continuously monitor breathing and consciousness
• If breathing is normal but the child does not respond to touch or speech, place them in the recovery position
• If breathing is abnormal, begin resuscitation
  
• Does the child show reactions and is responsive:
  – Vermittle Sicherheit und bewahre Ruhe
  – Beurteile Begleitverletzungen, wie Schwindel oder Folgen eines Sturzes
  
• Note: Do NOT enter the accident site in high-voltage incidents (power boxes, railway)! Pay attention to your own safety and call emergency services 112.
