- Move to a cool and quiet environment, ideally in the shade.
- Lay the child flat and position the head slightly elevated.
- Remove warm clothing to reduce body heat.
- Cool the head with large, cool, and damp compresses.
- FAN fresh air to promote evaporative cooling.
- Offer the child cool drinks and salty snacks, but only if they are fully awake.
If the mentioned measures do not lead to improvement, promptly consult a doctor or call 112. Your personal safety is of utmost importance. Stay calm and composed in every emergency situation. Source: DGUV – Handbuch zur Ersten Hilfe in Bildungs- und Betreuungseinrichtungen für Kinder, Seite 95.
